Initiatives & Outreach

Committed to Patient Health

The Illinois Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (ISDPA) is committed to improving patient health and advancing the role of Dermatology PAs across our state. Our Initiatives & Outreach programs focus on key areas that support our mission.

Advocacy and Professional Advancement

We actively engage with state medical and legislative bodies to ensure Dermatology PAs in Illinois practice to the full extent of their training and experience. Our advocacy work supports legislation that enhances patient access to high-quality, cost-effective dermatologic care and strengthens the collaboration between PAs and physicians.

Community Skin Health

ISDPA PAs are passionate about educating the public on preventative skin health. We support and organize community-based initiatives focused on skin cancer awareness, sun safety education, and early detection campaigns. Through these efforts, we strive to make a measurable impact on the overall dermatologic health of Illinois residents.

The MRF is an active advocate for the melanoma community, helping to raise awareness of this disease and the need for a cure.

Take ACTION for Psoriatic Disease is a movement to educate, advocate, motivate, and celebrate your community as you raise critical funds and awareness to improve lives affected by psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.

Be A Sun Hero

Be a Sun Hero is a philanthropic foundation meant to raise awareness of the importance of adequate sun protection in early childhood. Encourage increased adoption of sun-protective clothing, regular sunscreen application, and sun safety habits. Enable to motivate change and reduce the amount of skin cancer in our lifetime.
